Program Description
This certificate will prepare students for national certification as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Acute Care-Adult Gerontology (AG-ACNP).
The AG-ACNP is an advanced practice certification preparing nurses to provide continuous and comprehensive advanced nursing care to acutely ill adult-gerontology patients (young adults, older adults and frail elderly) experiencing episodic illness, exacerbation of chronic illness or terminal illness (AACN).

Admission Criteria
Hold a current, unencumbered RN license in your state of practice.
Hold a Master of Science in Nursing degree from a Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) nationally accredited program with a GPA of 3.0 or better required.
Prerequisite courses completed within the past five years and prior to enrolling in certificate courses. course, course, course.
