A course on principles of energy conversion in electromechanical devices and machines. Topics include analysis of transformers, polyphase synchronous and induction machines, DC machines, variable reluctance and stepper motors, and semiconductor converters. 3 Lecture hours and 2 Lab hours. Prerequisite: EE 356, MA 224 or concurrent enrollment. Offered: Spring.
