Information Technology

The Norwich University Information Technology Services (ITS) supports all academic and administrative computing and telecommunications.  Information Technology comprises the User Support Services, Enterprise Applications, Systems and Architecture, Information Security, and the Project Management Office.

User Support Services operates a Help desk located at 115 Partridge Hall and Mack Hall 3rd Floor. A help desk phone line/email/ticketing system is also available for the Norwich community. The Help desk offers computing help, network services, e-mail accounts, and training to students, faculty, and the university's administration. ITS also offers limited support for personal devices as supported by student technicians. ITS also manages the iPad fleet for faculty, staff, and students. ITS provides a robust network environment, including student computer labs and wired/wireless networks.

Norwich University has an information security team that protects the university’s networks and other digital assets. Users of all Norwich systems are expected to comply with the Acceptable Use Policy, which can be found here: https://www.norwich.edu/policy-library/3757-acceptable-use-policy

Public student computing labs are located in Partridge Hall, Cabot Hall, Kreitzberg Library, and Schneider Hall. The student computer labs are hosted in the Microsoft Azure cloud and are accessible by thin clients. The virtual labs are configured with common software and program-specific applications are also available.
