Graduate Certificate in Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-ACNP)
The College of Graduate & Continuing Studies (CGCS) offers an 18-credit hour certificate in the field of Acute Care-Adult Gerontology within the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Program. This certificate will prepare students for national certification as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Acute Care-Adult Gerontology (ACNP-AG).
The ACNP-AG is an advanced practice certification preparing nurses to provide continuous and comprehensive advanced nursing care to acutely ill adult-gerontology patients (young adults, older adults and frail elderly) experiencing episodic illness, exacerbation of chronic illness or terminal illness (AACN).
Students enrolled in the Acute Care-Adult Gerontology certificate may need to satisfy the following pre-requisites prior to matriculating the certificate courses.
