This course provides an examination of the major issues evident in the study of military affairs from the dawn of time to the present day. Using a modular approach, this course will explore the following topics: the origins of war, total war, soldiers in war, military theory, insurgency and counter insurgency warfare, military revolutions, and static warfare. 3 Lecture hours. Restriction: Freshman 2 or higher. Offered: Annually
