This course lays a foundation for understanding the Asia-Pacific Region and explores the trend in regionalism within the Asia-Pacific. It addresses seminal changes and develoments in the Asia-Pacific prior to, during and after the Cold War. This course analyzes current regional conflicts and their influence on regional development. This course also reviews the cultural, political and philosophical foundations of the main actors, both nation-states and intergovernmental organizations and surveys current events impacting regional relationships today.
